I'm a huge fan of the adventure genre. I want my badass heroes. I want my damsels in distress. I want to get cornered in the final dungeon,  slammed in the chest by a ten foot tentacle and then come back from the cliff of defeat to murder everything and claim my treasure. Yet, I find frighteningly few writers who will feed these desires without a fifty-page exposition of their characters thoughts and feelings and flashbacks. The meandering, ugly pace of these stories is frustrating, especially as an editor that actually has to sift through that garbage. I didn't think you could find a family online, but... *shrugs* That's just the way things worked out. I hope we continue to stay together, even as we move through life, progressing towards a bright future...
